We collaborate with schools to stimulate knowledge and creativity through the use of mosaics for themed workshops and projects in partnership with educational institutions and organizations. Cultural visits open to the adult public are part of a free activity in which the furnace opens its doors to share the working life that has taken place here since 1888.
The furnace has always been a place of exchange and dialogue with mosaicists, architects, designers, and artists from all over the world. The artistic residencies take place once a year to support and accelerate the development of a multidisciplinary project in collaboration with the Orsoni team.
We are fortunate to be part of a special place that continues to inspire artists and intellectuals with whom we collaborate on unique and unforgettable projects.
The meetings at the furnace are an opportunity to connect with international researchers and scholars who study Byzantine art, mosaics, and their connections to Venice. We enjoy exploring the theme of color across various fields of study for a multidisciplinary approach to this subject.
Each month, the Orsoni furnace opens its doors to the public for cultural visits during production hours, allowing anyone to learn about Orsoni’s history and the craftsmanship that has taken place daily since 1888, producing precious Venetian enamel mosaics and gold leaf.
