Orsoni Art & Culture Mission

Orsoni Art & Culture is an ambitious project conceived and promoted by the historic Orsoni Venezia 1888 furnace, aimed at developing and disseminating cultural projects centered around the technique of mosaic and the theme of color. Our mission is to promote the enhancement and understanding of these disciplines through a multidisciplinary approach that includes conferences and talks, artistic residencies, collaborations with artists, designers, and architects on research projects.

Our vision is to create an environment that serves as a crossroads for art enthusiasts, emerging artists, industry professionals, and culture enthusiasts. We aim to become a center of excellence, a place where creativity merges with tradition, and where the potential of mosaic and color are explored and celebrated through engaging cultural initiatives.

Through conferences and talks, we intend to provide a platform for dialogue and in-depth exploration of topics related to mosaic technique and color, involving industry experts, artists, and scholars. We want to share knowledge, stimulate reflection, and fuel debate on the relevance of these disciplines in contemporary art.

Artist residencies will be a focal point of our project, offering talented creatives the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the Orsoni Venezia 1888 furnace, drawing inspiration from its history and savoir-faire. Additionally, we will actively collaborate with mosaicists, designers, and architects on innovative research projects that integrate mosaic technique into contemporary contexts, challenging creative limits and pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.

International mosaic masterclasses will provide an opportunity to welcome students and artists from around the world, offering them the chance to learn and perfect traditional and contemporary mosaic techniques under the guidance of experienced masters. These intensive courses will be a moment of knowledge sharing and the building of an international mosaic community passionate about mosaic art.
